World's First Bai Platinum Five-Star Hotel Blends Bai Culture with Modern Chinese Style

The Dali International Hotel, designed by the Grandland Design Institute, is a unique blend of traditional Bai culture and modern Chinese style. As the first Bai platinum five-star hotel in the world, it showcases a harmonious fusion of culture, landscape, and nature, revealing a rich history.

The inspiration for the design of the Dali International Hotel was drawn from the Bai elements, which were extracted and absorbed into the design. These elements include woodcarving, cultural landscapes, and nature, all of which contribute to the hotel's unique visual effect. The result is a design that perfectly combines the culture of the Dali minority race Bai with a modern Chinese style.

The Dali International Hotel stands out for its unique properties. The hotel's main tower spans 18 floors, with a floor area of 75,000 square meters and 311 guest rooms. The materials used in the construction of the hotel include metal, wired glass, wood veneer, and stone. These materials were chosen to reflect the natural elements of the Bai culture.

The design team, consisting of Sun Legang, Meng Songtao, Wu Xiaodong, and Kuang Yi, faced the challenge of combining Bai elements with modern techniques. The project's positioning as the first Bai platinum five-star hotel in the world added to the complexity of the design process. However, the team successfully overcame these challenges, resulting in a design that is both innovative and respectful of the Bai culture.

The Dali International Hotel project began on May 12th, 2010, and was completed on August 19th, 2017. The hotel is located in the Bai Autonomous Prefecture, Dali city, Yunan province, China. The design of the hotel is a testament to the Grandland Design Institute's commitment to innovation and cultural preservation.
